Quantitative Aptitude is the MOST important section in IPMAT.
- Arithmetic (Moderate, Highly Important): Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Partnership, Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Time Speed Distance, Boats and Streams, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Mixtures and Allegations.
- Algebra (Moderate to Hard, Very High Weightage): Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, Inequalities, Logarithms, Functions, Polynomials, Progressions, Surds and Indices.
- Number System (Moderate): Factors and Multiples, Divisibility Rules, HCF & LCM, Remainders, Cyclicity, Unit Digit, Base System, Prime Numbers.
- Geometry & Mensuration (Moderate to Hard): Lines and Angles, Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals, Coordinate Geometry, Area and Perimeter, Surface Area and Volume.
- Modern Mathematics (Hard): Probability, Permutation and Combination, Set Theory, Venn Diagrams, Statistics.
- Data Interpretation (Easy to Moderate): Pie Charts, Bar Graphs, Tables, Line Graphs, Caselets.
- Reading Comprehension (Very High Weightage): Passage-based questions, Main idea, Inference-based questions, Tone of passage, Vocabulary from passage.
- Grammar: Sentence Correction, Error Detection, Parts of Speech, Tenses, Subject Verb Agreement, Prepositions, Articles.
